Understanding NO GOAL Predictions

NO GOAL is one of NextGoalAI’s three next-goal outcomes, alongside HOME and AWAY. It predicts that neither team will score another counted goal after the prediction is published, within the period the platform evaluates. It should not be confused with a 0–0 final score, a prediction that neither team has scored yet, or an empty Live feed.

The prediction starts at a particular minute

NO GOAL looks forward from the publication moment. Earlier goals remain part of the score: a match could already be 2–1 when the selection appears. The question is whether either team scores another counted goal after that moment. History confirms the result once the required evaluation information is available.

Hypothetical example A — a successful NO GOAL selection

Hypothetical example B — an unsuccessful NO GOAL selection

What if the score changes?

For a successful NO GOAL prediction, the confirmed match score ordinarily remains the same as it was when the prediction was published. The match need not have been goalless beforehand. A live scoreboard is not enough to settle exceptional cases, including cancelled goals or abandoned matches; the confirmed History evaluation determines the published result.

How to read the card

  1. Selection — Confirm the displayed outcome is NO GOAL, not the absence of a published selection.
  2. Probability — Read the estimated likelihood assigned to that outcome.
  3. Confidence — Read the separate support indicator; it is not a promise of success.
  4. Context — Check the match minute and score as they were when the selection was published.
  5. Confirmed result — Use History to distinguish PENDING from a confirmed WON or LOST result.

Important limits

A NO GOAL prediction is not marked WON simply because the score remains unchanged while the match is still in progress. History requires a confirmed evaluation. Stoppage time, extra time, disallowed goals and abandoned fixtures may require special handling; do not assume an outcome from the live scoreboard alone.
